Art of Racing

This is my submission to the Art of Racing competition for the Preakness. I wanted to try making the final piece look more graphic than what I normally do since the competition stated that they wanted to have the piece work as merchandise if selected.

This was my initial sketch and I changed a lot due to feedback. The original idea I had was for it to look like a physical painting but digitally but the final result was definitely affected by the competition rules. I also added some flowers to give more movement to the image and reference the flower blanket the winners of the Preakness are given.
